Headbands | Wraps | Ties

Description:

I’m pleased to share with you a beautiful collection of Headbands that I have designed to complement my headwear range.

PLEASE NOTE SOME OF THE HEADBANDS ARE SHOWN WITH OUR HEADWEAR RANGE WHICH IS SOLD SEPARATELY.

Headbands | Wraps | Ties - go back to ancient times and combine aesthetics and functionality. Mesopotamian men and women wore them to hold their hair in place. Eventually metal ones were replaced with fabric. In the 1800’s women held their hair back with fabric bands inspired by the ancient Greek hairstyles. They lost favour when hats and bonnets became more fashionable, but they came back in a big way in the 1920’s evening attire where they were ornately decorated with ribbon, jewels and feathers. These had another revival in the fashion of the 1980’s, and come in various types, including:
Leather – suede, vinyl and real leather can be glued, plated or hand-stitched. Plastic – in a host of shapes, colours and finishes including glittery or pearl.
Fabric – used to cover a metal or plastic inner band, but can also be made using fabric alone, and elasticated for a customized fit. This is the main style of headbands we design and create at Xazha Ltd. A broad range of colours, textures and patterns are available.
Toothed combs, to hold hair in place, are available on plastic, leather or fabric bands.
Head wraps have been used by women to protect elaborate hairstyles for centuries. We offer a range to enhance headwear styles and to add head height, which make a tremendous difference when you are dealing with hair loss.
